Editorial Services:   Coaching
Bersin & Assocs.

A human resources consulting and research firm called on Emily to work with one of their analysts. While she had an excellent knowledge of her subject matter, she had trouble meeting deadlines and expressing herself clearly. Emily has worked with Bersin on various writing, editing and coaching projects since Summer 2008.

Description

Emily is a great teacher—so say her University of New Mexico students and her private coaching clients. She takes coaching seriously—working with clients on deadlines, writing schedules or overcoming their fear of the writing process. She'll take each sentence and demonstrate how it can be improved; she also serve as an editor who specializes in honing their skills. Once a piece is completed, she helps clients find homes for their work by coaching them on the publishing process.

Private coaching clients receive one 20-minute free consultation, which includes:
—clarifying coaching goals
—critique of one page of writing (if desired).

Regular coaching can include:
—identifying the next steps in your writing process
—goal setting
—evaluating the marketabililty of an idea
—proposal development
—critique and editing

Coaching sessions take place by email and telephone, last 30 minutes to one hour, and can be scheduled weekly, biweekly, or over a three-month period.

Contact Emily to discuss tailored coaching services, fees and details.

When I hired Emily to coach me on my newsletter and special reports, little did I know how much I’d come to look forward to her critiques. My writing improves monthly because Emily corrects, explains and coaches.
